The 2018 Senatorial debate last night proved to be a pre-rehearsed event of average political noise. However, that doesn’t mean that the candidates true colors didn’t show or that we should write off the debate as a waste of time.

When it comes to the all-important Supreme Court Justice seat, Marsha Blackburn Stood Firm. Although the left immediately condemned her, she has gracefully taken the hit. Let us be clear; she wants women to report abuse. Those who were listening to her statement or has been following her campaign knows that she against those acts. She was just saying what most Tennesseeans feel. The way that the Democrats handled the information does feel like a PR stunt.

Congresswoman Blackburn on twitter was ridiculed for bringing up that former Governor Bredesen has a very good relationship with Senator Chuck Schumer.  Schumer has made, and no doubt facilitated Bredesen’s campaign through monetary contributions.  Although Bredesen is known as a moderate governor, the Senate is a completely different ball game. If he is running as a Democrat, he will vote like one.

Make no mistake these two do have a few things that they can agree on. They have both come out against the Tariffs to some degree, and they both love our state.
