Lenoir City native, Jimmy Matlock is running for Congress representing the second district.
He took over Matlock Tire Service & Auto Repair after the loss of his father. Matlock’s family business expanded to four locations with Jimmy at the helm. The store is now in its third generation, with his son taking over the company.
Matlock has served as the chairman of the Loudon County Republican Party, and has also served for 11 years in the General Assembly. Now, he is making a move to Congress. Matlock is a firm believer in state’s rights. He is an advocate for sending power back to the states, empowering those who are in their local communities.
He is a pro-life defender and plans to take that fight to Washington. Matlock introduced legislation to outlaw taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood in Tennessee. Defending those who cannot defend themselves is not merely a tagline for Matlock. He can prove it with his actions.
He also honors those who defend our great nation. His plan goes far beyond talk or another monument. He plans to meet the needs of our veterans by making permanent the Choices Program and expanding it to ensure that our veterans get the best care possible. He also wants to strengthen education and job training for our veterans. Securing the future of our veterans goes far beyond the battlefield.
